Sure, living in Texas you'd think that we'd get enough of the cowboy culture, but sometimes it seems we are trying so hard to smash that stereotype, we aren't embracing what we love about our drawls and spit cups.

We're all about a party where we can "take a ride on Trigger the Wonder Horse" and "take a whack at the last call pinata" (wait, that's not the bartender?). Especially when that party takes place at one of our fav-o-rite saloons, Leon's Lounge [1006 McGowen @ Main]. We're intrigued, and so there.

And of course what would a western shin-dig be without faithful steeds? DJ Dave Wrangler and LJ Walker will be spinning your favorite honky tonk classics "from bar brawls to panty droppers."

The party gets underway 'round 10pm and lasts until the wee hours of 2am. Or longer if you can convince Miss Scarlett to let us at the bar after hours. We hear she's a sucker for cowboys.
