<description>&lt;p&gt;Yea, zillow is a worthless joke.  Unless you are just trying to market your property.  You said the deadline to file a protest was May 31st, but you actually have 30 days from the time your notice is &quot;mailed&quot; out, not when you get it, but when it&apos;s mailed.  I still have not been sent my notice this year so I can protest up to 30 days after they send it.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;It&apos;s annoying, although once we filed for the protest, HCAD gave us all this info (there&apos;s an iFile # on the form and on the website).  It also shows the 6 or so houses they used to compare yours to.  I went around the neighborhood and took pics of the one that was obviously way more house than ours and not even close in other comparables.  Of course, the fact that they had basic info on our house wrong probably was the major factor in us getting our numbers down.

The Zillow info on our house (and neighbors) is ridiculously high.  For example, the house next to us sold very recently and the # they have for it is 40K too high.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
