It's Monday. AGAIN. We know, right? Monday already? Yep.

Shake off the Monday Blues with a free movie at our fav-o-rite bookstore, Domy Books [1709 Westheimer].

Hey, ho, let's go!

Tonight's movie is the teen rebellion classic
Rock 'n' Roll High School
.

Keeping in tune with the teen rebellion flicks of the 50s and 60s, Rock 'n' Roll High School delivers much of the same camp with a 70s punk rock aesthetic. PJ Soles, better known from her role in Halloween, plays Riff Randell, an angst ridden teen whose only goal in life is to meet her idols, The Ramones. Unfortunately for her the despotic principal of her high school, Miss Togar, wants to put an end to her rock fueled adolescent dreams. After meeting her mop haired heroes she enlists their help to rock the halls of Vince Lombardi High and put an end to Miss Togar's unhip agenda.

The movie also features music by MC5, Nick Lowe, Devo, Brian Eno, Eddie and the Hotrods, and of course, The Ramones.
