Every week or so, Houstonist provides a rundown of what the Blogs are saying about our city's sports teams. Here's what we found this week:

-Jeff Bagwell's life isn't all San Diego sun and jersey retirements. He's still working as a special assistant to Tim Purpura. He was recently in Lexington, KY to check out the Astros A-ball affiliate. Obviously, this was big news in Lexington.
-The Texans have shown some interest in A&M and Spring Woods High School product Robert Ferguson, who was released by the Packers this week. He's a veteran WR with a reputation for sacrificing his body on the field. A Packers blog has a recap of his time there.
-Da Good, Da Bad, and DeMeco will go by the acronym DGDB&D from now on. Here's why, as told by the blogger himself. If this had gone to court, it might have set some interesting intellectual property precendent for the blogging community.
-Tracy McGrady is having some babymomma issues. Awkwaaaard.
-Former Astro Luis Gonzalez, that goofy Mike Sweeney mistake from the Astros game this week, and Hunter S. Thompson. Sounds like The Dugout all right. Check out the best baseball-centric web comic here.

Missed Connections: Gefilte Fish...and "Chain Connections"

Actually, it's "DGDB&D," but thanks for the link.
I suppose a court battle would have been interesting legally, but I am glad we were able to reach an amicable result. DeMeco (and his lawyer) are both class acts. Had they come in with a "take it down or we'll sue" approach, it probably would have gone to court (I would have easily won).
