Houston Zoo says goodbye to Bu

bu_rhino.jpg
Houston Zoo lovers are saying goodbye to Bu the Southern white rhino who died late last week. Bu (short for Samburu) was a 4,000 pound Zoo celebrity and one of its oldest inhabitants at age 39.

Apparently, in a bit of zoo drama, Bu had fallen into depression after losing lifetime plutonic rhino pal Marci last March and never recovered. We'll miss the big guy. Does anyone else have 'The Circle of Life' stuck in their head right now?

Plutonic has to do with rocks, I think you mean platonic?

Na-ze-hen-yah Wazee-nibbi-boh!

Hmm, that came out distubingly accurate, I'm afraid. Someone needs to put me in a cage, and keep me from interacting with normal people!

guest - oh no, Bu was of igneous origin ( I jest). Yes platonic. Not plutonic. I'm on a roll today....

I thought plutonic was a medicinal elixer made from plutonium?
