Daily-ist: Tuesday

Just when you thought Westheimer "on the curve" couldn't get any cooler.

Join Houston's favorite son of blues, Little Joe Washington, as he makes his new home on Tuesday nights at Boondocks [1417 Westheimer].

Newly opened, Boondocks, sits on a prime piece of realty on Westheimer, just west of Montrose, next door to Taxi Taxi. Owner Shawn Bermudez insists it's no club. One part dive, part music venue, Houston's most eclectic talents can be found here seven nights a week, with Little Joe making an appearance every Tuesday. As long as he doesn't have a flat on his bike.

Boondocks offers a daily Happy Hour from 5-9pm, and all day on Sundays, with $1.50 Pabst Blue Ribbon beer anytime the door is open. Awesome. PBR + LJW = Happy Houstonists.

I think this place is next door to Liquid on the curve and further from Taxi Taxi than next door. Having never been and only using Google maps, it looks like it's across the street from Sliders.

driving by tonight to get a visual...stay tuned for an update!

Yup, right next door to Liquid. Boondocks just put a sign up in the last couple of days. It's right on the curve in the Liquid shopping center. I just saw it on the way home driving down Westheimer today.
