Ever wonder what Carolyn Farb would look like on oil and canvas? Ok, we've never either but now you're intrigued, right?

Tonight, at Winter Street Studios [2101 Winter Street], artist John Palmer will debut a new series of “faces” of Houstonians.

The exhibition will be held in the main gallery at Winter Street Studios, and includes faces of notable Houstonians, local art enthusiasts, collectors and faces from Palmer's imagination. The “faces” feature Carolyn Farb, Carl Lewis, Annise Parker, Tony Vallone, Frank Billingsley, John O’Quinn, Roseann Rogers, Monica Pope, Adrian Garcia, Gus and Sharon Capriva, Martha Turner and more.

Palmer creates two different styles in regards to these distinctive portraits. One style combines personal images, photographs and memorabilia to create a unique and intimate collage. In the other style, Palmer paints a more impressionistic portrait of the person’s actual face. Both genres will be on display at this event.

The exhibit will continue in New York at Coda Gallery in SoHo on September 29th.
