Daily-ist: Monday

A trip to Cafe Brasil last night confirmed what we told you last week. They are getting a big honking, new kitchen. All the more room to make those yummy pizzas. The roof of our mouth is still mad at our inability to control the yumminess.

We've been loving the Monday Night Movies at Domy all summer long. And we especially look forward to stopping off at Brasil before the show for a chance to burn our mouth on the savory pies.

Tonight's Showing: Cannibal: the Musical

All Singing! All Dancing! All Flesh Eating!

Before Team America and South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker… er.. Juan Schwartz embarked upon telling the tale of Alfred Packer, a veteran of the American civil war and prospector who was leading a party of men on a gold expedition to Breckenridge through the Colorado Rocky Mountains when tragedy struck… he ate them.

Or did he?

Cannibal: The Musical sets up the trial with macabre flashbacks and whimsical musical numbers to explain what went wrong during that fateful journey.

It’s everything you’d expect from Stone and Parker and let’s you see that they had a talent for the musical, however low the budget, long before South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut was ever nominated for an Oscar.

It’s also everything you’d expect from Troma, who are actually responsible for the release of the film thanks to South Park’s success.
