Photo show reception is Saturday, despite rumors

090607_press.jpgAnother reminder about 600 sq mi, Houstonist's photo show? Well, now that you mention it, yes: The show's on display now at M2 Gallery in the Heights, and the opening reception is 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the gallery.

Which brings us to our point: If you picked up this week's Houston Press, you might have noticed the listing for the show in the Night & Day section. It's amazing — including a big version of Tracy Manford's "Looking Up" — but it says that the opening reception is tomorrow, not Saturday. So, if you check out the Press (and you should), just keep in mind that you should show up Saturday, not Friday. Though you can go see the show Friday, too, if you want. We won't stop you.

While we're talking about the photo show, we want to take a chance to thank someone who did a lot to help make it possible: Yolanta Thompson at Yol Art, who did all the framing for the show. She does incredible work, is super friendly and helpful and definitely deserves all the thanks we can give.
