Damn, as long as they keep the Dome, who really cares what they do with it? Yeah, it is pretty plastic and artificial, but that is the whole point of the Dome in the first place. Artificial light, atmosphere and even grass! If it keeps them from turning it into a parking lot, I'm all for it. Besides, this is a building with true historical value to this city. It literally put Houston on the map, and enabled many cities whose weather made some professional sports prohibitive to get into the big leagues.

At least rides that make you say "wow" are better than ones that make you say "WTF?" I'm still trying to understand how you can combine an upscale convention hotel (as they call it) with amusement rides. Is this going to be some kind of Kemah Boardwalk/The Houstonian combo?
