The Beyonce Watch: Bills, Bills, Bills (paid by Destiny's Child?)

BeyonceKnowlesPicture.jpgOur favorite at-work timewasters over at TMZ.com are reporting that Houston's pop/R&B princess herself has reunited with original Destiny's Child member Michelle Rowland to open an apartment building: The Knowles-Rowland Temenos Place Apartments, for people trying to improve their situations who might not otherwise have a place to live. Through her charity, the Survivor Foundation, Beyonce and her family are building and financing the building, which will be a 48 unit "short term to longterm transitional housing facility. Though the charity is generally geared toward Katrina survivors in the Houston area, there's no mention on the site of whether or not the housing will be reserved for people affected by the storm. Several of the charities' other endeavors, including sponsoring a day at the movies for students from Houston Can! Academy, were not specifically geared toward Katrina survivors, though some do happen to attend the charter school.

Isn't it nice to be proud of a Houston celeb for once?
