Playing Video Games With U of H
Well, not really but the folks at U of H are using the Cell Broadband Engine for seismic research and the search for oil. This technology was originally designed for use in video game systems like Sony's PlayStation3. So why are they using this technology? Because it makes it easier for researchers to perform repetitive computer tasks. Game over? No, the game has just begun.
