Houston Sports Blog Round Up 9/24 Edition

Every week, usually on Mondays (sue us), Houstonist braves the wilds of the internets to bring you a summary of what people on sports blogs are saying about your hometown teams:

-Shasta, the UH Cougar mascot has responded to the assault at the wings/hands of the Oregon Duck from the first week of the college football season. Sounds like he's got a pretty good attitude about it.

- The Colts-Texans game took place on "Deep Steel Sunday". Battle Red Blog makes the obvious Zoolander connection and one other one. Matt Schaub = Hansel.

- Rice may have been whupped pretty soundly in Austin, but they definitely won halftime. The MOB may be the only band in the land with the cajones to do this stunt.

- Allison Footer continues her awesome work over at Astros.com with a report that Cecil Cooper could officially have the interim tag removed from his job title by the end of the week.
