Calling all music freaks!

Houstonist loves music. That’s why make our iMixes, keep you up-to-date on what shows are in town, share our favorite music videos with you, and even interview both local and national musicians. We know, however, that there are some fanatical music lovers out there that think we can do more (and we’re not disagreeing). That’s where our challenge comes in.

We’re currently looking for more music contributors. What’s required, you say? First off, you must have a passion for music. Secondly, you must be able to write, and dedicated to do so at least a couple of times a week. If you’re interested in local music, we especially want to hear from you – there’s more great local music in this city than two people can cover.

Interested? Then send us an e-mail at write (at) houstonist (dot) com and tell us your name, a little about yourself and your specific interests. Also send us a sample post — about 250 words or so, related to music (CD review, concert review, or maybe something totally unique), just so we can get a feel for your style.

We'll be accepting applications until the end of the day Tuesday, October 3rd (that’s less than a week away, folks). We look forward to hearing from you!
