Heavy Hitter's CD Release Party!

Houston's Heavy Hitter's Club will be premiering their first CD at Fitzgerald's, Saturday night -it will be on sale for $5, but, ONLY at this party! So, what is Houston's Heavy Hitter's Club? It is what happens when you ask 30 different rock musicians to come over, hang out and write some songs. Seriously, this was pulled off in three recording sessions - not a small task, even if you have people who are accustomed to playing with each other (that sounds wrong, we swear, it really isn't). Conceptualized and made possible by Skullsessions Studios, of Katy, Texas - this is a first of its kind - to our knowledge, anyway. So, effectively, 30 artists from 5 different Houston rock bands we told to write two new songs with 5 other musicians/artists with whom they had never played before - in a couple of hours.

Talk about "speed metal", er, rock. These peeps may have loved/hated or just simply not known one another - no one lost life or limb on this little warp speed journey! So, what you have, in the end is a hugely creative and vastly amazing undertaking (and it turned out, really well) that will unfurl before you at Fitzgerald's on Saturday.
