Houston Sports Blog Roundup 10/1 Edition

"Biggio" is the word on many bloggers minds this week, so this'll be a pretty Astros-heavy week here at the blog roundup.

- Orange Whoopass is putting together some of the most poignant tributes to number 7. Here are a couple of them.

- Biggio didn't break the all-time hit-by-pitch record (he came two short, but still holds the modern-era record). Plunk Biggio breaks it down with a great tribute, and some finger pointing.

- The Chron's baseball blog has some great video and audio from the Sunday's game. Good to hear things straight from the mouth of the Man.

- The Houston Press had their man at the game, and his photos really capture the atmosphere well.

- Brad Lidge had surgery today, and the Astros got a new pitching coach.

- The Astros Dugout has another good Biggio tribute.

- Moving away from Astros news, Tracy McGrady is getting involved with Darfur. Good to see a professional athlete looking to non-traditional places for charity and advocacy.
