Thursday
Festivities kickoff today with an "Art on Water Launch" at 2:30pm in San Houston Park (900 Smith). CORE Dancers to perform IN THE WATER from 1-4pm. Sweet. IN the water.
Friday
VIP Preview& Opening Reception w/ Mayor Bill White

Dance by Core Performance Company and selected artists’ works on display
Saturday
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Opening Day
300 fine artists, including featured artist Mark Driscoll, to exhibit clay, drawing/pastel, fiber/textiles, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor and wood.
Wine & Food cafes, Creative Zone for children with interactive art projects such as mini art car building, wax hand sculptures, mask making, painted rock art and face painting.
Broadway in Houston's Broadway Café and the performing arts stage with ongoing multi-cultural musical and dance and demonstrations such as traditional Cherokee finger weaving; knitting by Knit at Night; and Polymer Clay Guild of Houston presented by the Houston Arts Alliance.

Tickets: Adults: $10; Admission is free for children 12 and under
Parking: On city streets and for $6.00 event fee in the City Hall Annex, or Theater District Parking under Tranquility Park.
Local Charity Partners: Over the past 36 years, the Bayou City Art Festival has raised more than $2.2 million for local nonprofit organizations. The 2007 nonprofit partners are: Art League Houston, Bering Omega Community Services, DiverseWorks Art Space, Downtown YMCA, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Lawndale Art Center, Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts (MECA), Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Several Dancers Core, SPARK School Park Program, Spay-Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP), The Orange Show Center for Visionary Arts and Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA).
