The Dynamo's playoff run in defense of their MLS championship begins 7pm on Saturday against FC Dallas in Dallas, and while the Texans flounder and the Rockets are just getting warmed up, the Dynamo stand as Houston's last best chance for a successful team this year.
The Orange start the playoffs as the second seed in the Western Conference, behind Chivas USA, but still one of the favorites for the MLS Cup. Now that all the Beckham hype has died out and the regular season grows in the rearview mirror, the playoffs intensity and the intra-state rivalry with FC Dallas will make this game the marquee sporting event this weekend.
The series will continue next weekend here at Robertson Stadium, with the winner advancing to play the victor of the Chivas-KC Wizards series for the Western Conference title. The MLS Cup will be played at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC on November 18th.
