Calling all cool kids (or, just kids aiming to be cool at some point in the future...cool adults are fine, too...or, well, you know...)...Contemporary Arts Museum Houston brings us a Steel Lounge Underground Halloween Bash tonight with their friends at KTRU 91.7 Rice Radio. Come early for a special preview screening of the season premier of art:21, focusing on contemporary artists and romance, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Cullen Education Resource Room at CAMH. Then, stay late (or just arrive late) and party in CAMH's lower gallery with KTRU DJ's spinning their always awesome grooves. Your surroundings while cocktailing are especially sleek this month with LA-based photographer Kelly Nipper's fabulous work adorning the walls.
Steel Lounge Underground is a once-monthly soiree (last Friday of the month) and always includes cheap drinks and CAMH's current exhibitions until 11 p.m. Admission is entirely free, just like all of CAMH's public programming. Enter via the staircase at the corner of Bissonnet and Bayard.
