Do you plan your day's meals before you turn off your alarm clock? Do you know where to get the best breakfast tacos in town? Does the thought of braised chicken feet intrigue you? When you taste something divine, do you need a moment of silence?

Tickle your tastebuds pink, Houstonist is looking for food writers! One of the best things about living in Houston is the awe-inspiring number of restaurants and diversity in cuisine. And we need food writers who are out there eating their way through the city! We're looking for writers who have an adventurous palatte but can also appreciate the simplicity of fresh ingredients. You must have a genuine love for food - whether it be high brow, low brow or no brow. You must also have a strong opinion about the food you eat and the experience that comes with it. Oh, and we're looking for foodies who can also write - a couple of times a week.

If you're salivating, drop us an e-mail at write (at) houstonist (dot) com and tell us a little bit about yourself and your fave food experiences. Also send us a sample post — about 250 words or so on any food-related topic, just so we can get a feel for your style.

We'll be accepting applications until the end of the day Wednesday, November 7. A sincere hatred of mandatory valet parking for strip center restaurants is a plus. Just kidding. Sort of.
