Rockets Suffer First Loss Of The Season

061107-mavsloss.jpg The Rockets not only lost their first game of the season, but they also lost the game to the division-rival Dallas Mavericks, making it just god awful to even watch. The game went back and forth for the first three-and-a-half quarters with several lead changes and neither team having more than a six-point lead. The Mavericks were plagued by turnovers in the first half and the Rockets were able to keep theirs under control, but that all changed mid-way through the final quarter. Honestly, we wondered how in the hell the Rockets could be winning the turnover battle at this point.

The Rockets came back down to earth and turned the ball over in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Add that to a 10-0 run by Jason Terry and that spelled disaster for the hometown team. The Rockets hope they can forget about last night’s loss while they prepare for a back-to-back against the other division rival and defending champion San Antonio Spurs tonight.
