Better late than nevah - here's our roundup of feasting and imbibing in the very near future. See the bottom of the post for some Thanksgiving food ideas, we'll be continuing to update that, and no, we won't add Grandma Kroger to the list, or any other supermarket, for that matter. Well, maybe Central Market or perhaps Whole Foods, maybe.

-Occupying 13,000 square feet of the Galleria complex which housed Lord & Taylor, the 400 seat restaurant will offer an upscale selection of meats and seafood. Prime beef is the real draw though, plus over 1,650 selections of wine and full-time sommeliers to assist customers with their selection. Sister locations may be found in Dallas, Fort Worth, Charlotte, N.C., Orlando, Las Vegas and New York.

-A Fun Run kicks off this event at noon, ending at The NutHouse. The ‘cue is courtesy of Justin Toxicated BBQ Team, plus, live music abounds with Beatless Wings, The American Sharks and 500 Megatons of Boogie. To surmise, Fun Run, Raffles, Auctions, South Side Roller Girls and music. All proceeds benefit the South Side Roller Derby Banked Track Fund – so, get out there and eat, drink, purchase and party!!!! Oh, beer, we didn’t mention beer, our bad!

Community Leaders Uniting to Eat
Emerging Leaders 8th Annual Restaurant Crawl
Tuesday, November 13th beginning at 6 p.m.

-Highlighting the Theater District, this year’s crawl features The Downtown Aquarium, Artista, Vin and Hard Rock Café. Appetizer’s and cocktails kick of the crawl at the Dive Lounge in The Downtown Aquarium, followed by a “main” at Artista with cocktails and wine, Vin rounds out the gastronomic side with “Mini Desserts” and cocktails and the night cap is on the Hard Rock. All food and one alcoholic beverage per venue, tax and gratuity are included in the ticket price. More drinky is on your dime. You must pre-register and space is limited, $60/member and $75/non-member. HERE is additional information and registration.

TTR Gourmet Thanksgiving
- Dinner for 8, includes a 14 lb. turkey, your choice of mashed or sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce (here at Houstonist, our gourmet cranberry comes from a special mould – it has rings around it, just like MamaHoustonist makes) and two pies of your choice (pecan, apple or pumpkin).
