Houstonist Bartender: Booze Pills

By now, it should come as no surprise that Houstonist is lazy always on the look out for an easy way to get things done. Anyone want to write this column for us? At any rate, you probably won't find it hard to believe that we have not tested the following booze recipe. But, we thought it best to bring concoction to the attention of those of you who have more patience when it comes to getting your booze on.

Blogger Chadzilla posted a recipe for vodka pills earlier this month. The process is time consuming - 24 hours - but the result is a unique alternative to the typical holiday booze/sweets to which you've become accustomed.

Booze Pills
+ sugar
+ booze
+ cornstarch

We're not going to get into the how to's because the procedure is much more involved than the ingredients suggest. Check out Chadzilla's post for instructions con photos.
We were quick to dismiss this edible libation as too complicated to easily enjoy. But, after more thought it became apparent that booze pills are the sophisticated version of Jello shots. A hand full of these should make your post-holiday depression go away faster than a hand full of those other pills.

Have a drink we should spread to the masses? Send it along [jason at houstonist dot com], and we just may post it after some extensive testing.

Don't be a dumbass. Always check with your doctor before taking any kind of pills.
