It’s a slow week. So slow in fact, that the big release of the day just might be the Spice Girls' Greatest Hits CD. We'll be rooting for Scary Spice on Dancing with the Stars tonight, but we've decided to highlight some other musical imports for now.
Might we suggest the perfect holiday gift for the music nerd in your life? The Brit Box: U.K. Indie, Shoegaze, and Brit Pop Gems of the Last Millennium lives up to its name with four chronologically-ordered discs covering the well-known and the obscure from the last two decades. Teenage Fanclub, Spiritualized, The Cure, Trash Can Sinatras, and many more are featured in the 78 song set.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Joshua Tree, U2 would like to sell the record to you all over again! And just what will a Super Deluxe Edition of the Joshua Tree get you? Well, in addition to a remastered copy of the classic album, you will receive a concert DVD, previously unreleased photos, hand-written lyrics by Bono, and a bevy of other extras too. Not a bad deal.

Okay, truth be told, we’re not really fans of Jordin Sparks’ new single “Tattoo.” It was over for us when we heard the words, “You’re on my heart just like a tattoo.” Yikes. But the American Idol Season 6 winner is just so gosh-darn adorable that we may give her self-titled debut a listen for that very reason. We’re not always this shallow.
