The Houston Rockets three-game winning streak came to a close last night after the Golden State Warriors ran circles around them resulting in a disappointing 113-94 loss. The game began with an 8-0 run by the Warriors with the Rockets starting off 0-7 from the floor. Both teams were playing the second game of a back-to-back, but the Warriors had a higher intensity as they continued to penetrate to the basket while the Rockets did nothing but watch them score at will.
The Rockets did take the lead for a brief moment on a Yao Ming jumper with 9 minutes to go in the second quarter, but that was short lived as a fury of Warrior baskets at the end of the second quarter brought the Warriors to a 59-40 half time lead.
Honestly people, this was a hard game to watch, so we will save you the details. But we'll leave you with this bit of information: the top two scorers for the Rockets were Mike James with 19 and Bonzi Wells 13 points. The Rockets starting squad racked up a combined 34 points while Yao and McGrady are averaging over 46 points combined so that pretty much sums it up as the top two scoring options where nowhere to be seen.
