Fro-Yo is Cool, Yo

It isn't often that we find a dessert that claims to be non-fat and delicious. And after falling in love with LA's Pinkberry, we were on the prowl to find something just as delicious.

031207_swirll.jpgEnter Swirll. For those of us studying for finals or working from "home", free wi-fi becomes a must for studying, writing papers, reading Houstonist, doing "work" . . .the usual. And when we found out that Swirll not only had fat free frozen yogurt AND free wi-fi, we were sold.

We came to Swirll with the intention of plopping ourselves behind our laptop and grubbin' down on some yogurt. With the bright lights and friendly faces, it almost seemed a little too happy of a place to sit down and study, but the frozen yogurt beckoned. There weren't too many flavors, but when the word "pomegranate" fell out of the worker's lips, we were sold. We didn't even bother with all the toppings (yes, they even had Captain Crunch as an option). The fruity cup of heaven was nice and sweet, without being overwhelmingly tart. It was smooth, creamy and small was enough to fill the sweet tooth craving, though if your sweet tooth is a bit bigger than ours, there are large sizes to choose from.

Though the price (ranging from $2.50-6.00) may seem a bit staggering for a cup of frozen milk, we'll be heading back to try the green tea version of our heaven in a cup.

Go get your fro-yo fix:
