Despite the likely assumption, Cary Brothers is not a musical group comprised of gifted singing and/or dancing siblings with matching haircuts. Rather, first name: Cary, last name: Brothers [pictured], is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter who is opening for Ben Lee at the Meridian tomorrow night.
Brothers has been a fixture on the L.A. music scene for years, but his big break came when his hushed lullaby, "Blue Eyes," was featured prominently in Zach Braff's directorial debut, Garden State. (Brothers contributed a song to the soundtrack of Braff’s other movie, The Last Kiss, as well.) Brothers’ plaintive melodies have also made their way onto popular TV shows, including Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs.
A proper full-length album, Who You Are, was released last summer, and features more of the same intimate paired-down recordings that landed Brothers in the spotlight, as well as arena-size guitar riffs that soar to U2 heights in songs like this one:

We don't think the name clarification will be needed much longer.
