I was told by a reliable source that the main reason the mcrib is not sold year round is simply because (and this is a disturbing thought) if the mcribe were sold year round in just TWO YEARS pigs would go extinct...chew on that...

I typically avoid the chopped, pressed & formed meat products, primarily because I assume that they're using the last possible viable meats for the product... like, chicken McNuggets are probably chicken FACE mcnuggets... But, ya gotta love the McRib. Even if it comes from face ribs.

McEWWW - however, I cannot in good conscious throw fast food "stones". I adore any fried chicken, really, any. And I won't bring up any other greasy, cheesey, fried, McPhatgram thing I would not only consume I would pine for - perhaps even dream about.

Oh, I still remember my days on the McRib assembly line. Let's just say that it will never go away. McD's won't discontinue it (it's been around for ~20 years) and the half life on the patty is 287.32 years. Think of the sandwich as a BBQ sauce delivery mechanism if it helps you. Helps me.
