From local Houston headlines, we bring you these weekend news bits...
• Ashley Benton, the 17 year old accused of murdering a 15 year old, has agreed to a plea bargain and will avoid prison time.
• Former President George Bush's favorite BBQ joint, Otto's on Memorial is going to be razed to make way for new construction. There is no current date for the demise of Otto's, so go grab a Bush plate while you still can and be sure to get extra sauce!
• HPD is stepping up their search for a missing Houston minister. Apparently the minister's car was found with two teenagers driving it.
• Thieves stole three air conditioning units from a non-profit organization in northwest Houston. Authorities speculate that the units were most likely stolen for their copper.
• 30 foot fall! A woman fell 30 feet into an open manhole near 3800 Weslayan Friday night.
• Here's a list Houston is glad to not be on, Most Dangerously Drunken Cities. While Houston is not on it, four other Texas cities are, Austin, San Antonio, Lubbock and El Paso. Hey Houston, let's party!
