Good morning, Houston. If you were an HPD cadet, you'd think you'd want to keep your nose clean — but apparently no one sent that memo to a cadet who was busted this weekend for allegedly buying and selling crack in southeast Houston. The man was caught off Scott and Nagle in the Third Ward; according to KHOU, he told police he had been smoking crack all weekend with at least two other HPD cadets. The suspects have all been tested for drugs, but the results haven't been released yet.
>> Man dies after threatening good Samaritans: In a bizarre incident in Conroe on Sunday night, a motorist was killed after he fell from a moving car he was holding onto and was run over by a passing vehicle. The man, 20-year-old David Garcia Hernandez, had been involved in an accident on FM 1314, and a man and woman stopped to offer help. Hernandez reportedly became agitated and threatened to kill the couple; they drove off, but Hernandez clung to the side of their Dodge Charger. He fell from the car about a block down the road, was run over by a minivan and died at a Conroe hospital. Police say it's not clear why he reacted the way he did.
>> What really happened to Chester Miles?: Days after local minister Chester Miles was reported missing, then found at a hospital suffering from stab wounds, it's not clear exactly how Miles got in that situation. Miles went missing Dec. 3 after dropping his daughter off at school in northeast Houston; late the next day, police found a group of teens driving his car. Miles himself turned up at an area hospital, where he was admitted as an unidentified stabbing victim. He's now listed in stable condition, and police hope to present him with a photo lineup to see if he can finger his attacker. Police arrested 18-year-old Carlos Andre Guillory of Missouri City, one of the teens found with Miles' car, but haven't charged him in connection with the stabbing.

Er — if only it was that easy. Looks like we're in for another relatively nasty day today, with a fog this morning, a chance of rain this afternoon and an unseasonably warm high of 79. Tonight, the low will hit the mid-60s.
