A great double-book tonight at AvantGarden: Terell James opens his "Neoformalism 1" exhibit, followed by FrenetiCore's production of "Exile", a dance film.

"Neoformalism"
Terrell James

Terrell James' paintings and prints evoke nature rather than depict it. With minimal contour line, gestural rubbing, and reserved color her works describe the landscape through abstraction.

James' work is included in numerous collections including Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY, Museum of Fine Arts/Houston, TX, The Menil Collection, Houston, TX, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas TX, Free International University World Art Collection, Amsterdam, Holland, Centro Cultural/Arte Contemporaneo, Mexico, D.F.

"Exile"
FrenetiCore: Dance on Film

Choreography and dance by Rebekah French and the dancers of FrenetiCore: Danny Magner, Ashley Horn, Angela Fry, Cassandra Shaffer, Chantal Fischback, Shanon Adams, and Robert Sam.
