No New Timing System For Houston Marathon
Officials for the Chevron Houston Marathon have opted not to use a new timing system by Michigan-based SAI Timing and Tracking after it failed to operate correctly during a marathon in Honolulu. Chevron Houston Marathon officials have decided to stick with ChampionChip, the timing system it has used since 2000.

Early Warning: HAAUG Swap Meet
Mark your calendars, the Houston Area Apple Users Group will be having their semi-annual swap meet on Saturday, January 26, 2008. The swap meet will be from 9am to 2pm at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel. Members of HAAUG can set up a swap meet table for free (membership has it's privileges) and non-members can set up a table for fifty bucks, if you need electricity it's an extra five spot. So if you are looking for that hot Apple Lisa or Newton, you just might get lucky!

Local Network Company Lands Portland Deal
INX, Inc. has secured a $2.8 million contract to install networking infrastructure for a new Portland, Oregon hospital. The new hospital campus is owned by Washington based Peace Health and will span 180 acres. That's a lot of networking!

Spybot Search & Destroy's New Betas
Grand Stream Dreams has been tinkering with a couple of new versions of Spybot Search & Destroy. Check out this blog post for the latest on these versions of the popular spyware cleaner and all its new features.
