It was weird. Sunday rolled around, and there wasn't a Texans game to watch. So we just chilled and ignored the TV for a change; what else were we going to do? Watch the Cowboys' game? What are we, Jessica Simpson? Between the Astros trades, the Texans resurgence, and the Mitchell Report, there was a lot to blog about this week. Everyone grab your number 2 pencil for the review:
- The Miguel Tejada trade and the subsequent revelation that he was connected to a supplier of HGH has made for some strong opinions around town, as this entry at Crawfish Boxes shows. Sure, more offense is great, but at what cost? After the Roger Clemens fiasco, do the Astros have a soul to save?

- Stephanie Stradley takes it to the local and national media about their coverage of Mario Williams. For those of you keeping score, that's Stephanie, Matt at DGDB&D, other bloggers: 1, mainstream media: 0.
- The Rockets players got a chance to check out Rock Band early. Now we want to see a YouTube clip of Yao playing "Slow Ride" on Guitar Hero.
- Fictional Miguel Tejada sure was happy to be out of Baltimore. In case you don't get the joke, Jeff Loria is a tightwad. And possibly the spawn of Satan.
- The Comets are moving out of the Toyota Center and into the Reliant Arena. The WNBA has lost a lot of steam since the league was founded, and it's now more of a niche sport than soccer. Is this due to lack of compelling players, media bias, or just a sheer lack of fan interest?
- The Rockets' woes this season are not that different from the injury-plagued seasons past: no one besides Yao and T-Mac can score. If someone doesn't step up (Scola? Bonzi? Scotty Brooks?), it'll be another one-and-done come playoff time.
- The Big Puma says that the ball is in Roger Clemens' court after the damning Mitchell Report. He also says that new closer Jose Valverde has a long road to make friends in the clubhouse.
Finally, a bedtime story about the Mitchell Report, courtesy of The Dugout. Sleep well until next week, faithful readers.

Rockets one and done? Try lottery bound at the current pace. This team is disappointing on a level that I have not known in Houston sports history. Outside of Yao and T-Mac, no one seems to care. There is absolutely no fire on the court these days.
The only silver lining is that Leslie is probably going to go nuclear, and the ensuing fallout will be very entertaining to watch. I'd love to see him make some crazy ass push to land Kobe. In any case, it's only a matter of time before he goes postal.
