You read that headline right, folks. The year is 2006 and The Medicine Show is playing at Helios again.

Sort of.

Rekindle those lovely memories of finishing a long day's work and partying at Helios on Monday night to the rousingly rambunctious Medicine Show. Instead the place is technically called AvantGarden, it'll actually be a Friday and the band changed its name to the Sideshow Tramps. Not to worry, though. You still get to listen to some of the best revivalist music you'll ever hear at one of the most unique venues Houston offers (read: both the sitting and the standing rooms are dance floors, whether you like it or not).

The party is brought to you by Free Press Houston and its delightfully titled Holiday Bash and Staff Infection. It really isn't a party until someone references Staphylococcal skin diseases.

Free free to listen to some Sideshow Tramps on their MySpace or maybe go as far as buying their first full length album, Medicine Show on CD Baby. Just an idea.
