Veggie Bites: Tacos A No-Go

We realized today that it wasn't this balmy, pathetic excuse for weather that was depressing us, but the extremely low levels of breakfast taco in our blood. You see, we had the fortune of spending the last 6+ years in a magical faraway land where you can't walk ten yards without tripping over a breakfast taco, and we've come to rely on this humble meal for energy, strength, and even happiness. We immediately looked up the nearest taco location on our Gastronomic Positioning System and soon found ourselves at Tacos A Go-Go.

We were nervous about going to a taqueria in midtown, but were soothed by the bright, tacky decor and various accolades plastered on the walls. We ordered a migas plate and sat down, eager to end our month-long breakfast taco famine. Our plate came steaming hot with migas, tortillas, potatoes, and black beans. Unfortunately, our plate did not come with any discernible flavor. The migas had eggs and tortilla chips and that was it! No peppers, no onions, no tomatoes. We know our migas, and the fountain of all knowledge can back us up when we assure you that eggs + tortilla chips ≠ migas. No amount of salsa could save them. To insult us even further, the potatoes were entirely bland, as were the black beans (which negated any points they'd received for not cooking them in bacon fat). The flour tortillas were surprisingly fresh and delicious, but we were too forsaken by the rest of the plate to truly enjoy them.

And so, dear readers, we are still depressed and deprived. If you think you can save us from our breakfast taco malnutrition, recommend your favorite taqueria in the comments.
