• The woman who left her six children home alone while she ran off to Africa to meet a man she met on the internet is headed back home. Shanell Monique Mosley has been charged with child endangerment and abandonment and authorities will be waiting for her when she arrives.

• A man who backed up into an HPD car during a car chase last night after a traffic stop got away by fleeing on foot. No one was injured during the chase and the man is still at large.

• Village Pharmacy in Conroe has been burglarized again after being hit twice in December. The owner has dropped six grand on security equipment after losing over fifteen grand in drugs.

• Harris County Sheriff's deputies and Crime Stoppers are asking for your help in finding the "star struck" robber who held up a Jones Road Randall's store back on December 23rd.

• Tech guru Dwight Silverman has some thoughts on the new, ultra light and ultra thin MacBook Air in his latest Tech Blog post.

• On this day in Houston history, from Houston Radio History: January 17, 1948: "The Houston Post reported that Texas Television had applied for a permit to operate KTHT-TV on Channel 7, at that time allocated to Houston. Texas Television was the TV branch of Roy Hofheinz’s Texas Star Broadcasting."
