Concert Preview: Secret Saturday Show

2007-01-25_sss.jpgIt’s hard enough to come up with enough words to entertain the masses of readers who flock to Houstonist as it is, but what do you do when the concert is a secret?

J.D. and Stacy Tucker started booking these free secret shows last year, sharing what we can only imagine to be secretive and highly confidential communications with an impressive list of Houston music acts. Aptly naming the weekly daytime shows the Secret Saturday Show, the Tuckers have already hosted the likes of The Teenage Kicks, Elaine Greer, Blades, The Mathletes, The Wild Moccasins, Judas Bear and Mlee Marie, not to mention many, many more and not including the countless other acts Houston houses.

Taking a quick cursory glance at our calendar, we can’t help but notice that tomorrow is Saturday again. Imagine that. Well, instead of mulling around the house figuring out whether or not we should weatherproof our windows, we’ll probably head over to The Shady Tavern in the Heights for the SSS. If the rumors are true, this week's line up promises to be the most gut-grabbing rock and roll three hours you’ve ever had with the sun still out.

What, you’re not motivated enough to check the show out? Can’t handle the secret goings on? ADR over at The Skyline Network subtly dances around the supposedly secret line up. Pinky swear you won’t tell anyone, okay?
