• A bicyclist is in serious condition after being struck and dragged by MetroRail in the Medical Center. The bicyclist was wearing headphones and riiding between platforms. The incident occurred Friday afternoon around 4:45pm.
• A car crashed into the State Grille on Alabama after losing control of the vehicle and jumping a curb. The driver had to be cut out of his vehicle and no patrons were injured.
• HPD have added 'bait cars' to their arsenal of weapons used to catch crooks. Bait cars are equipped with cameras and microphones and when stolen can be controlled remotely by police.
• A Department of Public Safety crime lab tech has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for stealing cocaine from a Jersey Village crime lab.
• Volunteers are need for the Park to Park Fun Run on Saturday, February 23rd. The route takes runners from Minute Maid Park to Hermann Park and volunteers are needed for various assignments.
• An HPD cadet has been fired after a department investigation revealed that the cadet had been stealing.
