Houston Sports Blog Roundup 2/11 Edition

Pitchers and catchers report this week! Hell yes! Our long national nightmare is over! We'll take a look at the Astros roster in more detail later this week, but until then, here's what the blogs are saying about our local teams. Warning: not responsible for ball jokes about the Rockets.

- So supposedly Roger Clemens is still in the news. Who knew? Rather than slog through all the syringes and attorney b.s., here's the Dugout's take on the ongoing McNamee and Clemens version of the Odd Couple.

- The Houston Press talked to Rockets uber-smart GM Daryl Morey about the team, trades, and the playoffs. Killer read. Still wondering when the other shoe is going to fall and the team decides to get a star forward who isn't made of papier-mache.

- The guys at the Dream Shake are pretty pumped about the Rockets' success lately. We'll take "streaky" so long as it's a winning streak.

- Lance Zierlein takes a look at zone blocking and what it will mean to the Texans next year in this video. It's looking like the biggest offseason moves that the team has made will be in the coaching department.

- The 2008 MLS schedule was released this week, and ESPN's #1 game to watch is the Dynamo-Revolution Cup rematch on March 29th. Word.

Check in later this week for a big-ass Astros article. Until then, always keep the evidence when you inject a friend (or your friend's wife) with an illegal substance!
