After a week off for prayer and fasting in the hope that Roger Clemens would finally appear in the media again, our supplications were heard and we feel up to posting this roundup again. For those of you who are new around these parts, this is where we take a look at what the blogs and other media are saying about our hometown sports teams each week.

- On the heels (rimshot) of Yao Ming's devastating injury, the Houston Press' Houstoned Ballz blog got an interview with Rockets GM Daryl Morey. Once again, Morey is open and self-effacing. If only more front-office types could be more like him.
- Uh oh. DGDB&D has a new cornerback/whipping boy with the Texans' recent free agent signing. He came from the damned Cowboys. What'd you expect?
- The fine folks at Clutch Fans have a solid breakdown of the implications of Yao's injury. Remember, we'll always be a secondary priority behind China. Always.
- Two of the Astros' starting pitchers had success in their first spring outings. If Backe can play a whole season at the level he showed in 2005, the questions about the 'stros starting rotation will evaporate very quickly. Whether Chacon is a starter or reliever, he's another good veteran for the young staff.
- Tim at Battle Red Blog looks at the Texans' options for another DE to compliment Super Mario. Hmm. Doesn't look too bright; we may have to wait another year to get someone who'll really draw attention from opposing O-lines.
- Finally, The Dugout does their annual season preview for the Astros. Roger Clemens ensues.
Come back next week, after the Rockets sign FrankenOlajuwon to a 10 day contract.
