:: FOTOFEST BIENNIAL ::

Fotofest starts tomorrow and continues until April 20th. Houston will be covered inside out with some amazing photography and photo-related art, and we heartily encourage you to see as much as you can. The theme this year is China and the ancillary theme (like minoring in college?) is transformations. Get a preview of the outstanding work on show here.

Start tomorrow with the opening over at official HQ: the Vine Street Studios at 1113 Vine Street, conveniently right on the Metrorail stop of UH-Downtown.

The event will be sponsored by the Houston Press, KUHF 88.7 FM, 42 Below Vodka and Barefoot Wine. Entertainment will be provided by Mango Punch!. Complimentary valet parking will also be available.

Opening night won't just be happening at Vine Street, however. Check out the calendar of events so you can party-hop all over town, or even all over the warehouse district. There will be openings and parties at DiverseWorks, mARCHITECTS, Nance Street Studios, various at 4411 Montrose, Lawndale, G Gallery and elsewhere.

In fact, there will be openings all weekend (HCP, Art League, Bering and James, De Santos, Redbud and more), so get on your art goggles (whatever that happens to mean to you) and get out there!
