Each week Houstonist checks out the Missed Connections on Craiglist. Here's a few that we found interesting.

help! just dyin to find the lady that hit me and left - 24

Hey here is hoping anybody out there can help.
I was biking home last saturday when a woman hit me from behind and knocked me of my bike into the street. She asked if I was okay and I said no but to pull over so she wouldn't get hit and I reached to pull my bike out of the street and she took off. I couldn't read her tags since she left that fast (maybe she was drunk and wanted to avoid cops?).

I can only assume must have damage on the front due to her car eating my bike. If anyone can help she def. deserves to face up to what she did and hopefully it will prevent her from hurting someone else...and then just taking off. Thank you and if you know anything at all please email!I already have a police report and witnesses who saw the whole thing I just need more info on her so if anyone sees a woman with that description/car driving in the midtown area (studemont/montrose)towards montrose or dowtown please help if you can!!!!!!!

She was a pale white female late 20's early thirties
medium to long hair (dirty blonde/red-ish perhaps?)
assuming she is thin from her face/ looks business profesional
driving a new Audi A4 in brilliant red (bright red car)

Try calling body shops that the Audi dealerships use. They may remember the car. Houstonist was in a bad accident recently and was supremely freaked out. We stayed, and we're most certainly not saying that she was right to leave. But, she may have just freaked like in Reservation Road.

Stealing stuff is fun! - 31

To the guys who stole my beloved 2003 red/white Honda Metropolitan:
What possible motive would you have to steal property belonging to other people? Really, how much money could you get for a stolen scooter?

Seriously, 2 scooters were stolen last night from my MedCenter condo complex. If anybody has any info, I'd like to know what happened!

Don't look at us. We're totally smitten with our Fireman's Texas Cruzer. Good luck getting back your ride even if it isn't pedal powered.

ISO Family - 36

Me:half english, half scottish, born june 1971 in Houston area. Female. Maria.
You:have a family member who is 52 or 53 who may or may not be named claire who 'went away' for a few months at age 16. If this family member is you, you should remember contacting Catholic Charities about me in 1982. That was the year my adopted father died. I found out in 1989 when I conacted them. I had just had your first grandchild. We really need to know our family medical history badly. No organ donors neccessary! I promise. Please, any family, friends...please contact.
Yikes! Sounds like you're in a tough spot. Hope everything works out.
