We're a little behind on this local music news bit, but only because we're just now getting over the music festival phobia SXSW instilled in us.
Last year's KTRU outdoor festivities had to be outdoor in name alone after a miserable rainy cold front swept our good city, despite KTRU having one of the strongest line ups this city has ever seen in recent years. Hopefully the weather warms up for KTRU's 17th Annual Outdoor Show, to be held on Sunday, April 13.
Headlining the show is Brooklyn’s Parts & Labor, who actually just came to Houston a couple of weeks ago. The fairly eclectic show starts at noon and goes through 9 p.m., throughout which you'll also get a chance to listen to:
Rachel Buchman
Flying Balalaika Brothers
Miles Ahead
Social Insects
:::KAI/ROS:::
Balaclavas
Nosaprise
Dead PA
Like always, though, it's free to the public. Also free is some St. Arnold root beer for the young ones, while the older kids can get some free St. Arnold (deliciously alcoholic) beer.
