Oh, man was it an ugly road trip, 2-5 to be exact. But don't be so hard on them, they did face All-Star pitching in Jake Peavy, Chris Young, Greg Maddux and Carlos Zambrano, that's no walk in the park. But now it's time to put that in the past and focus on the now. Your Houston Astros return to Minute Maid Park tonight for their 2008 home opener.

Things get kicked off today at 11 a.m. as the Astros host their annual street festival at Halliburton Plaza at Minute Maid Park which runs adjacent to Crawford St. Astros owner Drayton McLane will host a lunch time pep-rally from 12:30-1:00 p.m. along with guest appearances by Michael Bourn, Jose Valverde, Jose Cruz Jr., Miguel Tejada, Cecil Cooper and Milo Hamilton.

Along with food, games and Astros mascot Junction Jack chasing your kids around, the street festival will also include musical acts The Reds and Houston's own, The Spiffingtons. Also, the Astros in Action foundation will be holding a blood drive on the third floor of Union Station from noon to 7 p.m. Donors will receive a free t-shirt and a Astros coupon voucher for half-off tickets for the San Diego Padres game on April 21-22.

If you were Houstonist, you should call in sick and get to the ballpark early. Game time is 6:05 p.m. so don't be late. GO 'STROS!
