Dining Out For Life: April 24th

04092008_DOFL.gifHoustonians, mark your calendars now to participate in Dining Out For Life on Thursday, April 24th. What a fabulous way to raise funds for a cause, you lift your fork, feed your face and pay for dinner like you always do - whammo, you just donated! All you have to do to make a donation is go out for breakfast, lunch, dinner or "D: All of the above" on the designated day at a participating restaurant and 33% of your food bill goes to AIDS Foundation Houston or AFH! Plus, you can make the deal even "sweeter" by having a dessert! What better logic can you have for ordering Patsy's Chocolate Monkey Cake as a chaser for your Debris Po-Boy (for you who do not know, a Debris Po-Boy can bitch slap a French Dip into next week, every time - cause it is much mo' bettah) at Danton's Gulf Coast Seafood Kitchen??? Last year, AFH helped over 5,000 Houstonians with monies raised who are either HIV-positive or have AIDS, the more we can raise, the more people we can help. AFH provides clients with housing, food assistance and case management.

We're pretty excited about having a great excuse to go out to eat, all day long, and go for some dessert too, to pump up your donation! Tell all of your friends, take someone out for a business lunch or dinner (now THAT is a company match program) or make sure you and your special someone have dinner out (if they're really special, go for the oysters at Danton's - rumor has it they are aphrodisiacs, after all). Houstonist will be giving you some reviews and information on participating restaurants leadin up to "the day", so, you can make an informed choice and maybe try someplace new or visit an old favorite.
