Asia Huh?

For weeks, months even, all that stood on the lot between Caroline and Austin on Southmore was a modestly sized sign for the forthcoming Asia House. And Asia House is such as strange idea, too, isn't it? We mean, does it house all of Asia? Is it of an eastern style? What exactly would an Asia House look like, anyway? The truth of it is that as time wore on, it was that kind of undeveloped indeterminacy that we grew to love and appreciate. Each trip past that lone lot provoked a moment of fantasy ... hmmm, Asia House ...
Well, imagine our surprise (and a little dismay) when we saw the most unlikely activity going on on our beloved fantasy property: construction. Yup, somehow, in some way, someone is building, or attempting to build, a manifestation of all of our unfulfilled expectations. But the best part is, we still can't figure out what it is! What a strange thing! It's not like we're architects or anything, but it certainly doesn't look like a building — but, then again, it is rather big. Well, we made the mistake of actually doing a little research, and it turns out that the Asia Society, a multi-national organization, has some pretty serious plans for their Houston HQ. Don't worry, we won't give away the punch line, but if you just have to know you can find out more here. Just don't ruin it for the rest of us.
