The Election Heats Up

...passive-aggressive style.

Perennial favorite website and home of "painfully polite and hilariously hostile writings," Passive Aggressive Notes reports on the "audacity of theft" here in Houston:

writes an anonymous submitter in houston: “a neighbor in my building put up an obama yard sign on the door of her apartment around the time of the texas primary. when it disappeared, i assumed she took it down herself.”

But what we're left wondering is why the good folks over at Passive Aggressive Notes consider the letter regarding the sign theft (which can be seen below after the jump) to be "too subtle…at least for the houston market" and the not-so-subtle implication that we're either stupid or rude or perhaps both.

So, speaking of subtleties: It's not called being "subtle;" it's called being "polite." Welcome to Texas, darlin'.

The "too subtle" note in question:

What do you say, fellow Houstonians? Is the note truly too subtle for the our market? Or is Houstonist simply being too thin-skinned?
