Flamenco Night at Tio Pepe

What's better than a plate full of some of Houston's best paella? Well, besides a pitcher of delicious and award-winning sangria? Getting the sangria and paella while flamenco dancing takes place in your presence. This Wednesday night, the flamenco dancing kicks off at 8:00 p.m. at Tio Pepe, located at 5213 Cedar in Bellaire. Houstonist has paid a couple visits to Tio Pepe recently and not been even slightly disappointed. The sangria is the best we've ever had and the paella is seriously to die for - or, at least have a heart palpitation or three. We will be giving you a big ole officially review of the dishes we've sampled in the near future. For now, all we can say is you best call and reserve a spot if you plan to go see the flamenco show - we were forewarned that reservations are highly recommended, so you may want to phone as quickly as possible. Should you have your heart set on having dinner during the flamenco show and not be able to procure a table, it is a monthly occurance - every third Wednesday, so, there's always hope.

Tio Pepe has been around for a long time, heck, some of you may have forgotten all about it. That's your loss, acquaint or reacquaint yourself as quickly as possible - you won't be disappointed. At least, we have not been, at all. Should you miss the flamenco show, don't be all crushed, you can stop in any night of the week and have a nice quiet dinner, complete with live flamenco guitar. Ever concerned about your experience, you are asked if you would like to hear some music first, we love this - we have fallen prey to "the sneaky and loud mariachi band". See what your peeps have to say on b4-u-eat, should you doubt our humble opinion (the cordero jardinera will make you slap your mama right into next week).
