Astros Give Chacon the Silver Boot

One day after Astros pitcher Shawn Chacon went Latrell Sprewell on GM Ed Wade, the team announced today that they are parting ways with the disgruntled pitcher by placing him on waivers.

If Chacon goes unclaimed, the Astros will terminate his contract and more than likely ending his MLB career. For those of you that have been living in a closet, Chacon was told yesterday to meet in manager's Cecil Cooper's office before the game, but refused saying that whatever needed to be said should be said out in the open, not in an office.

Ed Wade then cursed out Chacon and telling him, "You need to F***ing look in the mirror." Chacon then became upset and asked Wade to stop yelling and cursing. Chacon then grabbed Ed Wade by the neck and threw him to the ground and jumped on top of him. Heated words were then exchanged between the two.

Players then broke up the altercation and Chacon was suspended indefinitely after the altercation. For the year, Chacon went 2-3 with a 5.04 ERA. Chacon had asked for a trade when he found out he was demoted to the bullpen on Monday. He won't be missed.
