Girls, Gravitas and Grub

070108_chicks.jpgLooking for a fun way to spend a summer evening with your girlfriends? Don't mind laughing hysterically and crying into your Kleenex within the span of the same two hours? Then head on down to Gravitas, where they'll be hosting "Dinner & A Chick Flick" every Tuesday throughout July.

For just $20, you'll get a hardcore chick flick (guys, be warned!) and a comfort food-style dinner pairing that matches the theme of the movie. The movies start at 7:00 p.m., which gives you just enough time to change into some comfy clothes and head on over after work.

The schedule for the month plays out like this:

July 1st: Steel Magnolias (we're hoping this one comes with some good Cajun food and a red velvet armadillo cake with gray icing)

July 8th: Sleepless in Seattle

July 15th: Terms of Endearment (filmed here in Houston, of course!)

July 22nd: Thelma and Louise

July 29th: An Officer and a Gentleman

RSVPs are required, so be sure to either call Gravitas at 713.522.0995 to make your reservation, or email Yolanda Williamson at yolanda at gravitasrestaurant.com. Take your favorite bunch of chicks out for a treat tonight, and enjoy an evening with M'Lynn, Ouiser, Truvy, Annelle, Shelby and Drum.
